In Ghana, an Outdooring (Ga: kpojiemɔ; Akan: abadinto, Ewe language “vihehedego”) is the traditional naming ceremony for infants. Traditionally this ceremony occurs eight days after the child is born where parents bring their newborn "outdoors" and give the child a name.
